What to Do in a Dental Emergency
- Give Us a Call: The first step you should take if your child is experiencing dental-related pain is to call our team. We’ll schedule a same-day exam for you (whenever possible) and provide you with first aid guidance over the phone.
- Come in for an Exam: During your exam, our team may capture X-rays of your child’s mouth, and Dr. Bowden will inspect the problem-area. He will explain his findings with you and go over his treatment recommendations.
- Get Treated: The next step will be to schedule your child’s appointment if they require treatment. In some cases, we may be able to complete treatment the same day they come in for an exam, but in others, the procedure may need to be scheduled at a time in the near future.
After-Hours Contact Service
Dr. Bowden provides after-hours contact through the latest technology; voice to text transcription. To contact Dr. Bowden for a true dental emergency after hours, simply call the office phone number and follow the instructions on the message. A separate number will be given for you to call and leave a voice message with your name, child’s name, phone number and nature of your emergency. Dr. Bowden will receive an e-mail to his phone with the transcribed message and will promptly call you back.
